Sharing the Gospel

Use a Song-video with a Christian message to start a conversation and share the Gospel. 

Sharing the good news of JESUS CHRIST in this world is our mission. JESUS and HIS word teaches us how to live in this world completing our purpose according to GOD’s plan.                                                                    JESUS made it simple for us to understand. Think about it… He summarized the Ten Commandments into two:                                                                    Matthew 22: 37-40

And he said to him, ”You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

And then HE gave us all one mission: to share the gospel to make disciples. 

Matthew 28: 19 

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Not all of us are to be evangelist or preachers, BUT we all need to be prepared and willing to give the reason for our hope. That is, we need to answer the question, why do we believe in and follow JESUS CHRIST.

1 Peter 3:15

As CHRIST followers, we all should know and be able to communicate our witness, that is, our salvation story. We should be able to verbalize clearly and briefly:

• How and when we received salvation through JESUS- i.e, became Christ followers                                

• How we were and are being changed by CHRIST                            

• Our personal witness is powerful since it is what we experienced. No one can deny that we experienced it or challenge its validity.      

 There are two good exercises that will help prepare you to share your "witness," your reason for the hope that is in you.

              First, using just 11 words, state your witness. Why 11 words? That was the amount of words the blind                man used when JESUS healed his blindness. It is simple, direct and sincere. 

John 9: 25 "One thing I know; I was blind but now I see." 

              Second, write down a more complete description of when you were saved and what happen then and                  now as your life has been and is being transformed. Practice sharing this by yourself, speaking it out                    loud. Make sure the time does not exceed two minutes. It usually takes many writes and re-writes to                    keep the time within two minutes. Once you have your statement and have practiced it, you need to                      share. Don't just read it but you can refer to it if you need to.This is a good group assignment and                        activity, where everyone takes a turn and shares.  

Plus, we all should be a part of supporting evangelical activities using our talents and gifts that GOD has given us. Remember, GOD created us with a purpose in mind.

Ephesians 2:10 

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.                     

​So, since we all have been directed by JESUS to share the gospel, why do so many CHRIST followers find it difficult and/or uncomfortable? Well, first of all, sharing the gospel on our own will be ineffective unless we use the power of the Holy SPIRIT to guide and empower us. So, we should always follow HIS lead and pray for HIS empowerment as we seek to share the gospel.                                 

There are many reasons people give for finding it difficult or uncomfortable to share the gospel but one of the most frequently mentioned is that it is so hard to start a conversation.                                                

Well, this is one of the primary reasons for our Website and YouTube presence. We want to provide a tool that will help to start a conversation about JESUS by using a Scripturally based Song-video. Just find a song-video and share it on social media, email or whatever. Just sharing the video shares JESUS since each song-video contains the Gospel message and is centered around JESUS. Sharing a song-video may also result in starting a conversation where you can personally dialog about JESUS and why HE is your Savior.
